Beneath the starry night
My thought drains in one scorching summer’s day
like drag on flies my mind lights on and off
down on the prickling grass is where I lay
smoke arising from chimneys make me cough
I stare up and above the darkened sky
the stars I see are twinkling brightly yes,
for then I rest my eyes far up and high
reflecting back to my mistake and mess
My beating heart and mind starts slowing down
and like a dream I hear the long lost steps
I blink my eyes to check and then I frown
My imagination has gone too far in depth
I place my eyes to one of twinkling stars
and make a wish which no one knows it’s ours
